The popular West Salem Freedom Festival will be Saturday and Sunday (June 27- 28, 2026)
The West Salem Freedom Festival will soon be here. This annual festival is organized by the Volunteer Firemen’s Assocation of West Salem. All proceeds generated by this event are used to purchase equipment for the department. Here is a schedule of events:
Saturday, June 27, 2026
- 6:00 AM West Salem Masonic Lodge @ The Lumberyard Restaurant (The Square)
- 7:00 AM – ? Village Wide Yard Sales @ Various homes throughout Village
- 7:00 AM Registration for 5K Run/Walk @ First Christian Church
- 10:00AM Wiffle Ball Tournament @ Centennial Park
- 11:00 AM Food Vendors / Music @Centennial Park
- 3:00 PM America 250 Parade @ The Village Square and Along Church Street
- 6:00 PM Chips for Cash @ Centennial Park
- Dusk Fireworks @ Centennial Park
Sunday, June 28, 2026
- 10:00 AM Community Worship Service @ The Bandstand in the Square
- 12:00 PM Corn Hole Tournament @ The Square
- 11:30-1:00PM Lunch by Smokin’ Pig BBQ @ The Firehouse (South Side of Square)
- 11:30–4:30 PM Car, Truck & Tractor Show @ The Square
