The Village of West Salem will hold a close-out public hearing on August 5, 2024, at 10:00 AM in the West Salem Village Hall, 106 E. South St. West Salem, IL to review and obtain interested parties’ views regarding program activities and performance under the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity’s Community Development Grant 20-242024, awarded for the purpose of Sewer System Improvements in West Salem. Grant funds were used for the reconstruction of the south sewer lagoon within the municipal wastewater treatment plant and for land-application of dredged sewer sludge directly west of the lagoon, outside of any Federally-listed wetlands.
