Courtesy Candidate’s Packets are now available at the West Salem Village Hall for individuals interested in serving on the West Salem Village Board, or the West Salem Library Board. Completed packets are to be returned to Village Hall from November 16, 2026 to November 23, 2026 during regular operating hours. The Consolidated Election will be held on April 6, 2027.
Village Board Positions to be Elected:
- Village President/Mayor (1) – Four-Year Term
- Village Trustee (3) – Four-Year Terms
Library Board Positions to be Elected:
- Library Trustee (3) – Four-Year Terms
- Library Trustee (3) – Two-Year Terms
- Library Trustee (1) – Unexpired Two-Year Term
To pick up a Courtesy Candidate Packet, stop by West Salem Village Hall at 106 E. South Street, West Salem, Illinois. Village Hall is open Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM and 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM. The 2027 Candidate’s Guide, which provides information about running for an elected office in Illinois can be found on the Illinois State Board of Elections website at https://www.elections.il.gov/.
