Last Farmers Market of the Season. A weekly Farmers’ Market is held on Friday mornings on the Square in West Salem during the summer.

The offices of Illinois State Senator Terri Bryant and Illinois State Representative Dave Severin will be hosting “Traveling Office Hours” at the West Salem Village Hall from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. This is a free public event.

The monthly meetings of the West Salem Village Board of Trustees are open to the public.

The monthly meetings of the West Salem Volunteer Fire Department are open to the public. Meetings are held at the Fire Station next to Village Hall.

Village Hall will be closed for Christmas on  Monday, October 13, 2025 for Columbus Day / Indigenous Peoples' Day. Utility Payments may be made online,  or placed in the mail slot just to the east of the entrance doors of Village Hall.

Special Village Board Meeting to discuss municipal insurance proposals. All Board meetings are open to the public.

Bulk pick-up for items not normally taken on the weekly trash day.  Please bag or box trash when possible. Mattresses and box springs must be wrapped in plastic.
